New Jersey’s Energy Master Plan, referred to as the EMP, has the goal of transitioning the state to 100% clean energy by 2050. Governor Murphy’s plan calls for retrofitting every building in the state with electric heat will cost of hundreds of billions of dollars. A recent article titled “It’s time to learn the real cost of Phil Murphy’s total electrification plan” does a good job at outlining some of the issues.
